Courtney Snider, the founder and owner of Tender Care & More Training, has had a passion for animals for as long as she can remember. Growing up she owned a range of animals from exotics, farm, and domestics; but she has always enjoyed training her dogs and helping her neighbors and friends with theirs.
In addition to being a local graduate of Kearney Missouri high school, Courtney has also successfully completed one of the industries leading professional dog training schools, Highland Canine's Master Dog Training Course. While attending the Master Dog Training Course Courtney mastered all aspects of dog training which included extensive training in puppy and adult evaluations, as well as group and individual classes, basic and advance obedience, behavior modification, police k9 instructor, search and rescue dog trainer program, and an inclusive service dog trainer program. Courtney graduated Highland as a certified master dog trainer. From there, Courtney accepted a job offer and transferred to Florida to work as the head trainer for Valor Medical Service Dogs. There she became a registered AKC CGC "Canine Good Citizen" evaluator as well as an evaluator for Therapy Pets Unlimited. After returning home and running Tender Care and More Training for over a year, Courtney decided to expand her knowledge in the pet care industry and studied at an academy in St. Louis where she received her certification as a professional dog groomer. She studied all aspects of dog grooming including; selecting the appropriate shampoo for different skin and coat types, safe handling of pets, breed specific haircuts, and shaving cats. At the academy she also received her certification in PEP. PEP is a pet empowerment program which covered applied animal analysis, behavior management, canine communication and handling, and how to reduce stress in pets to create a fear free environment.
Courtney hopes to make an impact in the dog training and grooming industry! Her goals include providing owners the knowledge of the basic training skills necessary in making their furry friend a good family companion, fixing and rebuilding relationships between dogs and their owners when behavioral issues have torn them apart, and of course throughout the process providing your pet with the best care and learning environment.
